Training Opportunities
Are you ready to motivate your students…
even the students who seem the least interested in school?
Poetry can be used to teach reading strategies, writer’s craft and even the
content areas. Let Steffani show how easy the process is for both students and
teachers. Using a standards based approach to teaching, teachers learn the
process of writing poems to meet the educational needs of their students.
Steffani has been presenting cutting edge information for
years at various conferences around the United States. Now, she is available for
performances and teacher workshops. Students will become active participants in the assembly.
Classroom visits can focus on reading skills, writing, or poetry performance.
For additional information or to inquire about fees and
availability, contact Steffani at (904) 993.8600 or you may contact her
at steffani@thepoetryteacher.com for more
information.

What do participants say about
the training.... "I loved Poetry
101! I love poetry and think it is a new and exciting way to allow the
children to think. They are SO bored with the same writing style and this
has really excited them."
Ansley Doughty, 5th grade teacher
"You have some great ideas. This
definitely could be a concept in education that is needed. You were the
person behind my kids poems, so take all the credit - I wouldn't even have
approached the idea without your guidance."
Patti Houston, Kindergarten teacher
