Schools and parks, stores and malls
Teachers spend time in them all.

Walking here and walking there
Some are thin and some are fat
Some have hair and some wear hats.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Working here and working there
Teachers talking blah, blah, blah
Teachers yelling rah, rah, rah.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Typing here and typing there
Lists, reports, stories, grades
Always hoping for an aide.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Grading papers here and there
Giving stickers, stars and scores
On the charts that hang from doors.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Reading here and reading there
Books and stories, charts and names
Most are different, some are the same.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Helping here and helping there
Writing, reading, math, FCAT
In a chair or on a mat.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Adding here, subtracting there
Copying homework, giving a test
Hoping that they’ll do their best.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Crying here and crying there
Wishing that the kids would know
Why it rains and why it snows.

Leading students to somewhere
Music, dance, drama, lunch
In a line not in a bunch.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Fussing about kid's underwear
Giving belts so they won’t see
Everything below their knees.
Teachers, Teachers, everywhere
Flipping cards and we don’t care
Writing notes or calling home
We think that we’ll unplug the phone.

Reaching here and reaching there
Hoping that we’ll soar real high
Like an eagle in the sky.

Teachers love and teachers care
Teachers short and teachers tall
