Shoes
by Ansley Doughty
My shoes are like
The me you see.
They reflect my personality.
If they are black
And all around,
I keep my feet
Upon the ground.
If I wear flip-flops
Any day,
From my toes to my head,
I want to play.
My racy red heels
Are tall and thin.
I feel a DIVA
Creeping in.
So many moods.
So many colors.
But I’d go barefoot,
If I had my ‘druthers.
