Little Mouse – Big Dreams

By Steffani H. Gilligan

I know a little mouse.
And, it would appear.
That she has been practicing,
A great football cheer.

She thought to herself,
“If the crowd is to hear me…
I must yell very loud.
And, I must speak clearly.”

She dresses on game day.
The kickoff is near.
Then she climbs in her mouse-car
And slowly starts to steer.

She ran bravely on the field.
But fear shook the small creature.
The friendly crowd loved her.
She’s a favorite halftime feature.

Now, she’s really quite famous.
She speaks softly most of the time.
Except when the boy-mice,
Drop their noses on the line.

At home, she is quiet.
On game day, she is wild!
We all have different sides to us -
Like, spicy, medium or mild.
